Outdoor Activities

Regina has more parkland and open space per person than any other major Canadian city. For a beautiful morning jog, a mid-day walk or sunset stroll, head to Wascana Lake in the heart of the city. A 2,300-acre park surrounds the entire lake, making this a great spot for cycling, kayaking, picnics, and play. The lake is closed to swimmers but open to paddle sports. You can also check out the Kiwanais Waterfall Park, a hidden gem among the trees.

Shopping

There is some great shopping to be done in Regina; boutiques, specialty shops and major shopping centres abound. There are five indoor shopping malls in various locations around the city to choose from, and four shopping districts with outdoor village-type atmospheres. Regina also features a gorgeous farmers’ market every Wednesday and Saturday morning, from May to October.

Night Life

Every major city has an exciting night life, and Regina is no exception. Take on Lady Luck at the Casino Regina, or hit up one of the many pubs for a refreshing pint. Knotted Thistle Pub, Bushwakker Brewing Co. and Nally’s Tavern are all great places to start. If you are hoping to catch a sports event, Regina also features many lively sports bars. There is also no shortage of night clubs to test out.
